Our First Game
The weather has been warm but not too hot unless you are are stuck shuffling along in a cattle-queue for half an hour, waiting to clear security. Our first game was France vs Denmark. The fans were pumped, in good voice, and dressed to the "nines". Unfortunately the same fervor was not displayed by the players. The Guardian summed it up nicely: "the game lacked ambition, chances, and any element of danger". Both teams played to not lose so that they would go through to the next round.
